We were introduced to Mariëtte Momberg by fellow illustrator Quentin Horn. She was tinkering with linoleum, he said. We should have a look at her work. Well, we did, and it was love at first sight. Mariëtte loves a pun as much as we do, and her time spent in London gave her an appreciation of British wit. Both of these qualities can be enjoyed in her colourful work. Mariëtte now lives in Noordhoek with her two young boys and spends time in her sunny studio carving out new ideas. She is passionate about the environment and makes a conscious effort to minimise her carbon footprint. Her prints are handprinted using water-soluble ink on cotton rich paper and all packaging is recyclable.
